Electrical Oil Services (EOS®) regularly attends selected industry events. In May 2026, for example, Electrical Oil Services exhibited together with its sister company CarboTech at IFAT in Munich. The focus included adsorption, resource conservation and the treatment of transformer oils.
Further important international industry events followed in August with the CIGRE Session in Paris and in September with Lubricant Expo Europe (Düsseldorf) and WindEnergy Hamburg. But there are also a number of interesting events for the transformer, power grid and insulating oil industry coming up over the next few months.
Electrical Oil Services has compiled a selection of European trade fairs, conferences and industry events. The overview ranges from events focusing on power transmission and distribution and asset management to international meetings for the transformer and grid industry.
The following selection provides an overview of interesting European events from autumn 2026 to summer 2027.
Power Transmission & Distribution Technology Expo
17–19 November 2026, Cologne
The Power Transmission & Distribution Technology Expo Europe is specifically aimed at the power transmission and distribution industry. Its target visitors include transmission and distribution system operators (TSOs and DSOs), utilities, infrastructure companies and companies involved in planning, modernising and maintaining electrical systems.
This makes the event one of the industry dates that is particularly closely aligned with EOS®'s areas of activity: transformers, insulating oils, oil treatment and the reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.
FutureGrid Innovation Summit
11 February 2027, Brussels
The FutureGrid Innovation Summit focuses on the future of Europe's distribution grids. Representatives of distribution system operators and other stakeholders from the European energy sector discuss topics including grid infrastructure, digitalisation, flexibility and resilience.
For companies and professionals involved in the development and reliable operation of European power grids, the Summit provides an interesting platform for exchanging ideas and expertise.
Utility Week Future Networks
3 March 2027, Manchester
Utility Week Future Networks brings together senior executives from Britain's electricity and gas networks. Topics such as asset management, grid investment, infrastructure and the further development of Britain's energy supply are at the heart of the event.
The event is more of a specialist conference than a traditional trade fair. However, it is particularly interesting for grid operators and companies involved in the management and long-term use of grid assets.
CWIEME Berlin
27–29 April 2027, Berlin
CWIEME Berlin brings together the international supply chain of the electrical engineering industry. The focus includes technologies and solutions for transformers, electrical machines and energy systems. Power transmission and distribution are also becoming increasingly important at the event.
CWIEME therefore offers numerous points of interest for the transformer industry. In 2027, CWIEME Berlin will also be complemented for the first time by the Grid Delivery Summit. This brings together utilities, transmission and distribution system operators, manufacturers and technology providers and focuses on the challenges involved in expanding power grid infrastructure.
CIGRE Symposium
27–30 April 2027, Heidelberg
CIGRE is one of the world's leading international organisations for electrical power systems. At the CIGRE Symposium 2027 in Heidelberg, experts from the international energy and high-voltage sectors come together.
Relevant topics include Power Transformers and Reactors, Transmission and Distribution Equipment, and Substations and Electrical Installations. The symposium therefore has numerous direct links to the transformer and insulating oil business.
Utility Week Live
25–26 May 2027, Birmingham
Utility Week Live in Birmingham is aimed at the utilities sector and brings together numerous decision-makers and professionals from British utilities.
The Asset Management area is particularly interesting for the transformer industry. Topics here include Network Operation & Maintenance as well as Transformers and Power Equipment. Utility Week Live is therefore an interesting industry event for companies operating in the British energy market.
CIRED
14–17 June 2027, Stockholm
The CIRED Conference & Exhibition is an international industry event focusing on electricity distribution networks. It brings together professionals from utilities, industry, consultancies and service providers.
The range of topics includes Network Components, Network Operation, Protection and the planning of electricity distribution networks. CIRED therefore provides a fitting conclusion to this overview of European events for the first half of 2027.
Why are industry events also relevant to transformer oil management?
