Unused Inhibited Mineral Insulating Oil
What does it do?
Unused inhibited mineral insulating oil is subject to rigorous quality assurance and control from the moment it is delivered by ship into the EOS Stanlow works via a dedicated pipeline. Modern, efficient degassing and drying equipment ensures final product quality falls well within the maximum limits specified in IEC 60296:2012.
Just like retrospectively adding EOSHIB to an oil to extend its life filling a transformer with inhibited insulating oil following an oil change or from new will contribute to extending the life of the transformer insulation system and therefore the transformer itself.
Things to remember
EOS unused inhibited mineral insulating oil can be supplied in bulk loads delivered in specialised, dedicated road tankers, or packed in 1 Tonne intermediate bulk containers, 205 litre drums or 25 litre containers. For export, oil can be supplied in bulk shiploads; ISO tanks, Flexi tanks or 205 litre drums packed in dry containers.
Inhibited oils should be tested periodically (12-24 months) to ensure the inhibitor concentration has not dropped below 0.08%. If this is the case, you should top up the transformer with inhibitor concentrate to ensure the inhibitor is in sufficient concentration to perform as an oxidative inhibitor
